The 2 Critical Changes Jesus Brought For Us

Church Letter #61 6/30/11 Pastor Dan Gore:
THE 2 CRITICAL CHANGES JESUS BROUGHT FOR US

John 17:20 “The Kingdom of God comes not with observation…behold, the Kingdom…is within you.”
John may have been very discouraged when he sat in prison while his cousin Jesus seemed to go on not noticing.  (Mat. 11:2)  Perhaps it seemed to John that Jesus was not doing enough to acknowledge him and help him in prison.   In verse 6 Jesus encourages John’s messengers not to be offended by Him.  Jesus then goes on to praise the ministry of John in front of the crowds as John’s servants are walking away.   Who else had Jesus ever praised so strongly as John in this passage?
I may be wrong, but I get the sense from this passage that things did not turn out exactly the way John had expected, and he felt let down by it all.  Was there something in Jesus’ approach that actually offended John, sitting there in prison?  Did John discern in the Spirit that he would be put to death before ever leaving prison?   Was this the crescendo he would end his ministry on?  But, in verse 11 Jesus goes on to say that there was never anyone born of a woman greater than John.  Wow!!

Perhaps John was upset with the way Jesus was going about things -- that Jesus was not intending to become king this go around.   Jesus must have perceived the frustration, because He then goes on to describe the amazing role John had in setting the stage for His own ministry on earth.  Verse 13 then says that there were all these prophets in history, like John, under the Law system, who was struggling for a Kingdom they could not yet know or see except by faith.  John then was the last of these.  From now on, Jesus would say that the Kingdom has already begun and is in process.  The Holy Spirit is available to all, not just a select few.  The Kingdom would NOW begin growing like leaven in bread until it overtook the entire earth.  There are two Mega changes in Jesus’ language and scripture that I see from this point onward in the Bible.  Something very radical has changed that affects you and me today in 2011.

Note that Jesus says something incredibly stunning, after saying that no one could hold a candle to John’s life:  “YET HE WHO IS LEAST IN THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS GREATER THAN HE (JOHN).”
So, are we “in the Kingdom”, even though Jesus’ second coming has not concluded?  If the Kingdom is within us, are we technically “in the Kingdom?”  I believe yes.  Not only that, but those who believe that only the pastor is qualified or that the true work of Christ does not begin until a later date, will miss the full life available through Christ.  And many miss it even today.  Their gospel message and salvation are basically powerless and dead, because of missing these two truths:
1.       The emphasis of God’s Kingdom is no longer in the future but the present.

2.       Every born-again believer is qualified, empowered and invited to do what Jesus did.
First: Jesus puts an end to the constant Futuristic way of speaking of the Kingdom.  No longer does the future event of Christ’s return define our Christian journey -- that we are raised with Christ does.   Ruling the earth and the coming Heavenly City is not our Goal, but our destiny.   Our goal is to be conformed into His image – to be Him to others.  The Kingdom is actually here NOW, in us, in the finished work of Jesus.  He defeated all of darkness and is expecting us to finish what he started.  (Mat 28:18-20)  The Kingdom is for Now, before it can be for later.  It has already begun in us, who are the saints.  Jesus will return the second time, but not to do the majority of the work.  God’s children are no longer just hoping to “make it to Heaven” – they are Heaven’s voice, will, heart and representation on earth.   They are seeking everything that it means to live “in Christ.”  Instead of separating from the world, they are invading the world’s systems and taking back what the Enemy has long enjoyed dominion in.

Which brings me to the second major change I see:  He now proclaims that we are qualified by Faith to do what He did.  In fact, Jesus left the scene in order that it would not get done unless we did it.  Regardless of title, race, church position, educational/biblical background, those who function by faith in Jesus Christ have unlimited access to what Jesus paid for.  Any person can do as much or little as their faith, experience and revelation permit.  Jewish Christians and those under the Law paradigm had the hardest time in the early church making this transition, no matter how amazing it was.  It is as if Jesus says to us:  “You go do it.  It’s up to you, my child – whosoever will live by faith.” (Mark 11:22-26) Though there are still important offices and administration, no longer is it just for the rare pastor, the evangelist, prophet or one gifted in miracles – but we are to become these ourselves by faith.

So this to me is why John, who was the greatest until Jesus, is like the least in the Kingdom.   While our own personal efforts/sacrifice will likely never match John’s in this life-time, I think we have this huge advantage over John (and all the bible heroes of old) in that we get to walk in greater fullness of the Holy Spirit and what Jesus has accomplished.   If these pressed on so hard based on so little revelation of a future Jesus, what is the limit of our calling who have tasted the Heavenly gifts?    New realities and dimensions were suddenly made available in the ministry of Jesus that were never before available in the history of the bible – and oh are they doozies…huge game changers for those who have eyes to see.  We praise you Lord!

John was the best and John was the last -- was faithful perfectly and wonderfully to what God called him to do.  Even though he baptized Jesus -- he was the last of those great Old Testament messengers who lived entirely preparing for the future Kingdom and arrival of the Messiah. .   We are not like John – who did not yet capture the fullness of Christ -- the unlimited intimacy of God through the fullness of the Holy Spirit.  It is time we lived more fully in the reality of who we already are in Him.  And for those still waiting for the second return of Christ to fix everything before going after it; for those who see themselves as yet not qualified and think it is for the pastor to do…you may want to read your bible a little more closely.   Jesus changed things.   These two changes will be experienced for years to come in USA and globally as their revelation becomes more real over time.

Help us Lord!!  Go seize it!  Go take the Kingdom.  GO walk in the supernatural.   Go do great exploits for Jesus.  Ask Him to teach you to do the impossible through Him.  You are perfectly qualified through Christ.  He wants you to take and then use what He paid for.  The same Spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead now lives in you.  Go find out what that really means.  The new opportunities are now almost infinite.  We are not waiting on God so much as He is waiting on us to walk in these new realities/realms of faith.

The Faith to Pick a Fight

Letter #60  3/11/11  Pastor Dan Gore  www.destinyshouse.com  THE FAITH TO PICK A FIGHT

1 Timothy 6:12 "Fight the good fight of Faith"

Sometimes LOVE by itself, is not enough.  You can love someone in great need, but not have anything in your hand to do anything to change their situation.  A Christian with great compassion and love for others is not a guarantee of a Christian with power to change stuff.  We can love others, and still have very little ability to influence their problem or need.  But if you have a Christian dominated by love, who ALSO walks in the power/authority of God to change things and outcomes -- now that is something to behold and praise God for.  Don't just be known for your love.  Be known also as someone who, when you pray, things happen.  This too is love.

One of the main keys to influence, is radical faith.  We need Christians dominated by love, but we need even more, Christians dominated by love, who exercise the faith to influence things and turn things.  Radical faith is not all that difficult.  Faith changes outcomes.  (Biblical) faith interrupts and changes desperate problems for a new outcome.

There is a faith that pleases the Lord: a persistent faith that is not controlled or dictated to by what is seen on the outside; a faith that looks at something that does not even seem possible or rational and re-creates the outcome.  A faith that boldly speaks to the problem with authority: Mountain, get up and move in the mighty name of Jesus!  There is a faith that ignores what is said or seen in the natural; ignores fear, and JUST BELIEVES.

Even though David should have been no match for the giant named Goliath,  the FAITH in David was offended by what Goliath was doing.  David saw the injustice and the Spirit of God in him responded quickly and appropriately.  What injustices does you faith see?  To be honest, we should get offended more often.  Perceive the strategies of God, and go do the impossible through Jesus.  Do you have the faith to pick a fight with a giant?  Is there anyone or anything harassing you that has no business looking down on you and persecuting you?

There is a faith that is not so concerned about what can be seen on the outside.  What is seen may not be accurate.  There is a kind of faith that declares in the name of Jesus:  WHAT YOU SEE IS NOT WHAT YOU GET...with God.  WHAT YOU SEE IS ABOUT TO BE OVER-RULED, OVER-TURNED, TRUMPED.  WHAT YOU SEE IS ON ITS LAST LEG, AND IS STILL TRYING TO CONVINCE YOU OTHERWISE.  WHAT YOU SEE IS ABOUT TO BE EVICTED FROM THE PREMISES, BY YOUR PRAYER; BY YOUR FAITH PARTNERING UP WITH THE WRITTEN WORD.  Can I be blunt about faith, without offending anyone?  YOU ARE STILL AFRAID AND INTIMIDATED BY "IT", AND "IT" IS ACTUALLY SCARED YOU ARE ABOUT TO APPLY ENOUGH FAITH TO THROW IT'S ASS BACK INTO HELL WHERE IT CAME FROM.  Who will blink first?  Who is more convinced of their own position?

Remember reading about when Jesus crossed a lake for the purpose of picking a fight? (Mark 5) Legion knew why Jesus bothered to pick that exact place to park the boat on this particular day.  There was about to be a fight for dominion and outcome.  Some of our faith needs to be for that purpose alone: to change the outcome of an impossible situation; to change dominion.  Legion was an army of demons who no one could subdue within this poor man living in the tombs.  Just by showing up, Jesus turned Legion Mafia into Legion Baby, whining, crying, begging for mercy from the Man.  Jesus' faith went out and picked a fight that day... and confronted a Legion of hell's demons.  Jesus is looking for men & women to follow in these foot-steps.  Who will take a stand and push back?  Whose faith will cause a violent reaction?  Who has the faith to pick a fight.  Who has the faith, that when they walk up, the forces of darkness are afraid of them?  You should scare the bad guys!  Its true.  They should see you coming up and become very concerned.

If disease, or poverty, or divorce, or cancer, etc. is a dark spirit:  then consider that that spirit you are afraid of is actually afraid of you...when you start pressing in with determination faith, based on the bible.  Consistently applied faith, regardless of what you "see" in the natural, is one of the most potent and dangerous forces against the darkness on the planet.  But we often pull back just a few minutes too early, just when the enemy thought you were serious and he was about to give up the prize and hand it over to you in fear.

If you are converted/saved, then He is no respecter of persons.  God's word about something is potent, regardless of who is praying the word.  God's Spirit in a man or woman is potent regardless of what the doctor's prognosis may declare in the natural realm.   God's cross and blood are potent, regardless of who is laying claim to them.  God's very name is potent, regardless of who may be screaming out: "JESUS!!  Help me!".   We must continually doubt our doubts.  Don't have great faith in negative forces.  Don't just assume something can't be changed.  We look at all disease and anything putting us at dis-ease as something that cannot possibly withstand the assault of Glory.  The assault of Glory.  The assault of your faith in action.  The assault of the man/woman of faith in agreement with the Word of God to over-ride the very sign/symptom of disease.  Keep assaulting the problem. Keep putting the force and power of God-given anointing on that thing, and see how much it can take.  Keep persisting over and over until you wear the thing down.  Keep applying the anointing liberally upon the problem until it can no longer stand up to you, or stand you.  Your opponent is not invincible...not a god...not that tough...come on now.

Look around you.  Look at your home, your neighborhood, your city, state, and nation.  Do you see any injustice?  Do you see any giants who have trespassed and defiantly ignored the Lord and done evil.  Will you declare war over those things that are against life, health, peace, love, and the Word?  Rarely will the Lord not heal someone when these things are applied consistently.  Even if He does not heal or provide breakthrough, it does not mean we give up on all the others.  Choosing to live a radical life of faith, regardless of the proof we see with our eyes, pleases the heart of God.  He loves to see us become stubborn and radical with our faith.  And without faith, we cannot possibly please Him.  Radical faith says: I know what I see on the outside -- but that is not necessarily the way its got to be.  The things that are not seen dictate to the things seen --- not visa versa.  Is that truth firmly in our heart?  Will your faith become offended and lead you to pick a fight?  Will you stand up and fight for the weak and those who are unable to defend themselves yet?

Will you say inside your heart:  "I'm curious if the Jesus in me could over-rule that situation.  Lets just find out. I'm just crazy enough to pray for something that is impossible."  All things are possible to those who are in Christ Jesus.  "I want to go pick a fight with a few terminal illnesses and see what God might do.   I want to go step in front of that Mac truck of despair and run IT off the road.  Wait until my anointing gets hold of that.  Lets see if disease can resist my Jesus and His blood.  Lets see if that situation can resist a bold person of faith.  Lets just see about that."   And the Lord seems to be saying to us: "Whomsoever....will pick up my Name and use it.  Whomsoever will pick up my cross and use it.  Whomsoever will pick up my Holy Spirit healing anointing and use it.... can have whatever they ask for that is in line with my Word.  It is theirs for the taking.  Go take it.  Go mess up the world with it. Go turn your world upside down with it."  If you are willing to persist even when you have already prayed a thousand times over it with the bible; if you are willing to not give up your faith and press Daddy God until you see your miracle; if you are willing to destroy your enemy with persistent love, and not let TIME cause you to quit, you may just actually have whatever you ask for.

1 John 5:4 "Whatever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith.  KJV

The Grand Illusion

CHURCH LETTER #58: HAPPY NEW YEAR www.destinyshouse.com  1/22/11 Pastor Dan G.

As we look ahead towards a new year of our lives and use this time as an opportunity to re-charge the batteries, I wanted to copy you one of my favorite pieces by a great missions evangelist named Mike Francen called “THE GRAND ILLUSION”.  There is video of Mike in the heart of India, with about 100,000 mostly Hindu watching, asking them to bring him a deaf person, a blind person, and a lame person up onto the stage.  Then he would tell them he would pray in the name of their gods first. Nothing happened.  Then told them he would pray in the name of Jesus, but if the three were not healed, that he would pack up and leave the country and end the crusade right then and there.  This challenge was a common way he would use to get the crowd’s attention.  And then suddenly God healed all three for Mike “in the name of Jesus”, in front of their very eyes. This and many other healing miracles would cause thousands to become convicted and approach the stage to receive Christ as their personal Savior. Their many gods never healed so many in their city of diseases, but this Jesus just did.  Praise God!
If you are like me, you may want to read the following more than once and really chew on the ideas here, and how they might bless your own journey.  Hope you enjoy:

The greatest building has yet to be erected. The greatest invention has yet to be patented. The greatest song has yet to be composed, the greatest book yet to be written. The most profound thought has yet to be perceived, the most amazing theory yet to be proven. The most beautiful poem has yet to be penned, the most powerful sermon yet to be preached. The largest church has yet to be known. The grandest victory has yet to be realized. The greatest wealth has yet to be accumulated. The largest offering has yet to be given. The greatest day has yet to dawn.
The grand illusion has been painted. Scores have purchased another’s idea of success. What is the 'grand illusion'? - "It’s all been done, we have it all, it's not possible." Mediocrity, passivity, status quo, and average stand and curse the limitless potential and destiny of those who would dare to soar.
Some say: 'Take it easy'. I say: 'Take a chance'. Some say: 'Take care'. I say: 'Take charge'. Some look to 'retire'. I say: 're-fire'. Courage is not the absence of fear -- it is the conquering of it. When you dare to attack it, fear will then loosen its grip on you. Opportunity does not come to those who wait; rather it comes to those who attack. Those who risk nothing gain nothing.
The richest place on the planet is not the diamond mines of South Africa, nor the oil fields of Kuwait. The richest place on the planet is the cemetery. In the cemetery we bury inventions never produced, ideas and dreams that never became reality, and hopes and aspirations that were never pursued.
Many take to the grave the most vibrant and explosive resource the world could ever know — God given dreams and visions. IT'S TIME TO DREAM AGAIN! The poorest man is not the one without a penny, but he who is without a dream.
People today poison the daring young mind with toxic thoughts of timidity and failure. They spew venomous criticism that says "settle down and be like everyone else." God says "Rise up and take a stand. Dream big enough to challenge your faith." Dream big enough for God to fit into your dreams. I am not talking about being weird; I am talking about being unique. There is a difference.
The only limitations we have are the size of our dreams and the degree of our determination. Who is the man who can determine what is impossible? From the dreams of yesterday to the reality of today — to the hope of our tomorrow: every great achievement commanding honor in the annals of the world began as a dream. Nothing great was ever achieved without it.
Many today disengage when just on the horizon lays a glimpse of the victory. Weary from the journey, an attitude begins to weave its web that says: "No matter what happens the rest of the way, this voyage has been a success." Satisfied with present attainments, they hope to coast into the finale.
A dear friend of mine once posed this thought to me: "Yesterday is history, tomorrow a mystery, and today is a gift. That is why they call it - the present". Take advantage of the present. Seize today. The best way to predict the future - CREATE IT! Do it today. Someday is not a day of the week.
The past is our teacher, the present our opportunity, and the future is our friend. People relish the past. At the turn of the century the impact of the great Welsh and Azusa street revivals swept across the world. In the 40's and 50's a healing revival caused huge tents and auditoriums to be filled to capacity. Today people long for the return of the old. We are chained to the past, too often limited to barriers and borders of our forefathers. Let us learn from the past, at the same time avoid being bound to it. God says: 'Behold, I will do a new thing'. (Is. 43: 18)

Supernatural Healing as a Lifestyle

November 19, 2010 Pastor Dan Gore http://www.destinyshouse.com/  letter #58

The following was borrowed from Living Word Christian Center in Minnesota...and they borrowed it from an old well known man of God, Charles Capps.  The reason I include it here is because I believe that the supernatural healing of our bodies should be a way of life, not just something we do when we are stuck with a bad prognosis and desperate for healing.  In other words, what if we used the Word of God more for preventative medicine instead of after the fact -- when the problem is already here?  Is that possible to live like that?  We believe it is.  Lets strive to speak and pray the Word of God over our bodies from time to time.  By faith, lets keep rooting out any and every malfunction that may exist in our bodies today -- as they are the temple of the Holy Spirit.  The following is a good template for this exercise.

Love you all & lets have more physical healing in our bodies!  O.K.?  Are you with me on that?  If we don't lay hold of that, then Jesus went through some of His suffering for nothing.  Lets grab hold of the healing Word that is available to us.

Love you,
Pastor Dan & Family

The following excerpt is taken from God's Creative Power for Healing by Charles Capps:

God's Medicine

I am FREE from unforgiveness and strife. I forgive others and Christ has forgiven me, for the love of God is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Ghost.
(Matt. 6:12; Rom. 5:5.)

Jesus bore my sins in His Body on the tree; therefore I am dead to sin and alive unto God and by His stripes I am healed and made whole. (1 Pet. 2:24; Rom. 6:11; 2 Cor. 5:21.)

Jesus bore my sickness and carried my pain. Therefore I give no place to sickness or pain. For God sent His Word and healed me. (Ps. 107:20.)

Father, because of Your Word I am an overcomer. I overcome the world, the flesh and the devil, by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony.
(1 John 4:4; Rev. 12:11.)

You have given me abundant life. I receive that life through Your Word and it flows to every organ of my body bringing healing and health. (John 10:10; John 6:63.)

Heavenly Father, I attend to Your Word. I incline my ears to Your sayings. I will not let them depart from my eyes. I keep them in the midst of my heart, for they are life and healing to all my flesh. (Prov. 4:20-22.)

As God was with Moses, so is He with me. My eyes are not dim; neither are my natural forces abated. Blessed are my eyes for they see and my ears, for they hear. (Deut. 34:7.)

No evil will befall me, neither shall any plague come near my dwelling. For You have given your angels charge over me. They keep me in all of my ways. In my pathway is life, healing and health. (Ps. 91:10, 11; Prov. 12:28.)

Jesus took my infirmities and bore my sicknesses. There I refuse to allow sickness to dominate my body. The Life of God flows within me bringing healing to every fiber of my being. (Matt. 8:17; John 6:63.)

I am redeemed from the curse. Galatians 3:13 is flowing in my blood stream. It flows to every cell of my body, restoring life and health. (Mark 11:23; Luke 17:6.)

The life of First Peter 2:24 is a reality in my flesh, restoring every cell of my body. I present my body to God for it is the temple of the LIVING GOD. God dwells in me and HIS LIFE permeates my SPIRIT, SOUL and BODY so that I am filled with the fullness of God daily. (Rom. 12:1, 2; John 14:20.)

My body is the temple of the HOLY GHOST. I make a demand on my body to release the right chemicals. My body is in perfect chemical balance. My pancreas secretes the proper amount of insulin for life and health. (1 Cor. 6:19.)

Heavenly Father, through Your Word You have imparted Your life to me. That life restores my body with every breath I breath and every word I SPEAK. (John 6:63; Mark 11:23.)

That which God has not planted is dissolved and rooted out of my body In Jesus' Name. First Peter 2:24 is engrafted into every fiber of my being and I am alive with the life of God. (Mark 11:23; John 6:63.)

Growths, Tumors, and Arthritis

Jesus bore the curse for me; therefore, I forbid growths and tumors to inhabit my body. The life of God within me dissolves growths and tumors, and my strength and health is restored. (Matt. 16:19; John 14:13; Mark 11:23.)

Growths and tumors have no right to my body. They are a thing of the past for I am delivered from the authority of darkness. (Col. 1:13, 14.)

Every organ and tissue of my body functions in the perfection that God created it to function. I forbid any malfunction in my body in Jesus' Name. (Gen. 1:28, 31.)

Father, Your Word has become a part of me. It is flowing in my bloodstream. It flows to every cell of my body, restoring and transforming my body. Your Word has become flesh; for You sent Your Word and healed me. (James 1:21; Ps. 107:20; Prov. 13:3.)

Your Word in manifested in my body, causing growths to disappear. Arthritis is a thing of the past. I make a demand on my bones and joints to function properly In Jesus' Name. (Mark 11:23; Matt. 17:20.)

Heavenly Father, I give voice to Your Word, the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus makes me free from the law of sin and death. And Your Life is energizing every cell of my body. (Rom. 8:12.)

Arthritis, you must GO! Sickness MUST FLEE! Tumors can't exist in me, for the Spirit of God is upon me and the Word of God is within me. Sickness, fear and oppression have no power over me for God's Word is my confession. (Mark 11:23.)

Heart and Blood

Thank You Father that I have a strong heart. My hart beats with the rhythm of life. My blood flows to every cell of my body restoring life and health abundantly. (Prov. 12:14; 14:30.)

My blood pressure is 120 over 80. the life of God flows in my blood and cleanses my arteries of all matter that does not pertain to life. (Mark 11:23.)

My heart beat is normal. My heart beats with the rhythm of life, carrying the Life of God  throughout my body restoring LIFE AND HEALTH ABUNDANTLY. (John 17:23; Eph. 2:22.)

I have a strong heart. Every heart beat floods by body with life and cleanses me of disease and pain. (Ex. 23:25; Mark 11:23.)

I command my blood cells to destroy every disease germ and virus that tries to inhabit my body. I command every cell of my body to be normal In Jesus' Name. (Rom. 5:17; Luke 17:6.)

Every cell that does not promote life and health in my body is cut off from its life source. My immune system will not allow tumorous growth to live in my body In Jesus' Name. (Luke 17:6; Mark 11:23.)

I am redeemed from the curse of the law and my heart beats with the rhythm of life. The spirit and life of God's Word flows in me cleansing my blood of every disease and impurity. (Prov. 4:20-23.)

Arteries and Cells

In Jesus' Name, my arteries, will not shrink or become clogged. Arteries, you are clean, elastic and function as God created you to function. (Luke 17:6; Mark 11:23; Isa. 55:11; James 3:2-5.)

The law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death; therefore, I will not allow sin, sickness or death to lord over me. (Rom. 8:2; Rom. 6:13, 14.)

The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in me, permeating His life through my veins, sending healing throughout my body. (Rom. 8:11.)

In Jesus' Name I forbid my body to be deceived in any manner. Body, you will not be deceived by any disease germ or virus. Neither will you work against life or health in any way. Every cell in my body supports life and health. (Matt. 12:25; 35a.)

Immune System

My immune system grows stronger day by day. I speak life to my immune system. I forbid confusion in my immune system. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in me and quickens my immune system with the life and wisdom of God, which guards the life and health of my body.

Healthy Bones and Marrow

I speak to the and joints of my body. I call you normal In Jesus' Name. my bones and joints will not respond to any disease; for the Spirit life of First Peter 2:24 permeates every bone and joint of my body with LIFE and HEALTH.

Father, I make a demand on my bones to produce perfect marrow. I make a demand on the marrow to produce pure blood that will ward off sickness and disease. My bones refuse any offense of the curse. (Prov. 16:24.)

I make a demand on my joints to function perfectly. There will be no pain or swelling in my joints. My joints refuse to allow anything that will hurt or destroy their normal function. (Prov. 17:22.)

Enforcing Life

Mix thoroughly with faith and authority. To be taken by word of mouth as often as needed to maintain health and life.

Body, I speak the Word of Faith to you. I demand that every organ perform a perfect work, for you are the temple of the HOLY GHOST; therefore, I charge you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the authority of His holy Word to be healed and made whole In Jesus' Name. (Prov. 12:18.)

Father, I resist the enemy in every form that he comes against me - I require my body to be strong and healthy, I enforce it with Your Word. I reject the curse, and I enforce life in this body. (James 4:7.)

I will not die but live and declare the works of God. (Ps, 118:17.)

You have forgiven all my iniquities; You have healed all my diseases; You have redeemed my life from destruction; You have satisfied my mouth with good things so that my youth is renewed as the eagles. (Ps. 103:2;5.)

Lord, You have blessed my food and water and have taken sickness away from me. Therefore I will fulfill the numbers of my days in health. (Ex. 23:25, 26.)

Understanding the Principle

Now that you have gone through the scriptural confessions, let's look at the principle that could be the key to you being a partaker of God's provision concerning your healing.

There is probably no other subject as important to your healing and health than the principle of CALLING THINGS THAT ARE NOT*. We see in Romans 4:17-22 that Abraham became fully persuaded that God would do what He had promised. The way he became fully persuaded was by calling those things which were not manifest as though they were.

We pick up on this verse seventeen:

(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.  (Romans 4:17)

Here Paul is referring to Genesis the 17th chapter. You will notice that God called Abram the father of nations before he had the promised child, and He taught Abram to do the same.

Prayed...
  • Thank you for all of the parts of the Body all over the earth
  • That one must go through that and they will get through that
  • We take the authority that has been given to us and say, "Enough is enough!"
  • It's Your will for us to prosper - spirit, soul, and body!
  • Pressing through and calling those things that are not as though they were!
  • Speaking to bodies to respond in God's way!

Will You Make it Through This Trial?

Pastor Dan Gore   www.destinyshouse.com  11/11/10   Letter #57

GENESIS 16:13 “She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: ‘You are the God who sees me,’ for she said, ‘I have now seen the one who sees me.’” (NIV)

“THE GOD WHO SEES ME”:

I want you to know that there will be unusual seasons in your walk with the Lord.  Don’t let this trouble you too much.  Some of you who read this have grown accustomed to times of great miracles, where God is moving and seems to answer instantly and miraculously to everything you ask of Him.  But then, all of a sudden, it seems that He has disappeared and is no longer even noticing you.  Without you having a choice or voice in the matter, it seems as though you have stepped over into a dry season of toil & tribulation.

I want you to know that this season of famine and wrestling and difficulty is just as important as the season of harvest and production.  In the Spirit, you are breaking open the hard earth and planting seeds that seem dry and dead now, but will produce a wonderful harvest in the near future.  Your great trial and your new breakthrough/blessing are actually connected to each other, in God’s realm.

A clear sign you may be in this kind of spiritual season is that while you are under great stress and trials, you are still steady, living a clean life, and not escaping over into the temporary relief found in the flesh.  You are praying and pressing in to the Heavenly things like never before… but He does not seem to do a quick miracle like He used to do; as you were used to seeing Him do.  He seems to have gone silent and His sweet presence and miracle power seem to not come as easy.  What to do now?

Worship and love on Him even though He does not reciprocate.  Keep on asking, knocking, and seeking even though no one has come to the door yet to open it.  Even though it seems “the light is on but no one is home”, keep at it.  Keep toiling the ground and planting the seeds of intense prayer and worship, hope and faith, especially when it seems hopeless and a waste of time.  This is your sacrifice of praise.  This is your act of faith in the midst of great difficulty.  And boy, is the Lord watching now.  Is the Lord ever closer than at these moments?  These are the times that count so much for your sowing into the things of faith and the Spirit.  This is where the great breakthrough and outpouring originate from, which will come later.  And a big harvest is coming.  But some of it is according to what you do now in the hard places.

Remember Hagar & Ishmael, in Genesis 16.  Hagar the Egyptian slave was impregnated, then treated her master’s wife badly, and then was mistreated back by the same, and then ran away from home with nothing?  What a low and humiliating position to be in.  From a worldly view, there was no reason anyone should care about Hagar’s comfort.  She was both slave and foreigner.  Through a mixture of various pressures and competing needs, she was quickly in a place of desperation before God came and encouraged her.  Hagar found out about God’s carefulness with low people that day: He really does see me!  I am not invisible or meaningless to Him. He sees me and cares enough to come and find me and tell me His wonderful plans for me!   Hagar was able to see God in a new way. She had a revelation or “ah – ha” that day.  She had a deeper perception that God truly saw her, validated her, and was her source of self worth. (Gen. 21:16)

Your soul may cry out:  “What’s the use?  This is not working!  When God is finally ready to actually help us, he knows where to find me.  Looks like I will have to just depend on myself in this case.  God is useless here.”  In the midst of our trials, the enemy will often come against us with an inferiority complex – that we are less than others and that we will never amount to anything.  He attacks us with feelings of low self esteem and loneliness.  At such times we must invite the Holy Spirit to affirm us and lift us up internally and position-ally back into a place of favor and grace.  In extreme crisis: fight to remain in the secret place of the Lord.  Don’t leave.

“For whom the Lord loves, he chastens, and scourges every son whom he receives.” (Heb. 12:6)   Then in verse 11 it says:  “Now no chastening for the present seems to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness…” KJV

Did you catch that?   If the Lord has embraced you as his own child, there will be times of great difficulty.  Sorry.  It’s not sexy.  But there is no crown without a cross, and no true victory without great struggle and loss.   The only time the teacher is perfectly silent, is during the test taking.   He brings us through low places in order to raise us up and bless us in high places.  (Psalms 66)  He is the God who sees you.  In other words – He is the one who will save you very soon.  This trial will come to a quick end, soon.  Stay true, do your best, and don’t be too hard on yourself when you backslide just a little bit.  Cling to His heart, even when it hurts to remain faithful.  You will soon see Him in a new way, too.   If you are in that difficult season right now, just remember:  He is the God who sees you.  He never did leave you -- it just seems that way.  He really is here, watching, perhaps closer than ever.  And He will soon rescue you, pick you up again, and bless you.

Hour of Power From His High Tower

Letter #55  destinyshouse.com    Pastor Dan Gore   10-8-10

MY HOUR OF POWER FROM HIS HIGH TOWER:
PSALMS 84:10: For a day in your courts is better than a thousand [anywhere else].

I remember reading in one of John Maxwell’s books one time that he would take part of his vacation money once per year and plan his vacation around the location of someone famous/important; that he would pay a high fee to be able to interview that person for half an hour or hour.  If you could afford a one-time fee each year to interview your favorite past president, or favorite sports hero, or your favorite T.V. evangelist, or some nationally known professional – would you do it?  Who would it be?  Would you do it so that some of that inspiration and excellence might inspire and bring out something greater in yourself?  Who would you sit down for an hour with and what questions would you like to ask them.  We don’t idolize any person, but there is value in being around greatness and learning/modeling it.

Well…there is an appointment that I must keep everyday. I must, no matter what, spend at least an hour in intimate fellowship with my Daddy in Heaven.  I not only owe it to Him, but I owe it to myself.  Is this self serving?  Absolutely!  I am not afraid to admit it.  I deserve this time to renew myself and be around someone ultimately successful and brilliant and loving.  My heart deserves His.  My soul deserves His time.  My personality and spirit deserve this time of being lifted up and filled with good things.  You see, if I allow this appointment to slip, because of other things which continually distract me away from His face, then over time my soul, spirit and personality really begin to slip downward.  I feel the weight/gravity of what is ugly and awful in this world. I am no longer at my best.  I even begin to feel negative about myself.  My mind will start to play tricks on me, and thoughts that do not even belong to me will begin to crowd in and take over.  Those relentless intrusions will then remove my peace, security and fellowship with myself and God.  Fear replaces Love.  Worry replaces Hope.  Failure thinking replaces Success thinking. Stability, Focus, and being Centered are replaced by Double-mindedness, Instability and Distraction. Negativity bumps Joy. You get the point, I think.

This one on one with Jesus then becomes my main thing…my highest leverage activity for the day.  This is not bible study time, or writing words to God, or studying spiritual books or regular praise – those are important too.  This is straight intimate time where I must join my heart with His heart.  Here is where I speak in words of the heart and spirit, and where I wait for Him to reciprocate back to me by the Spirit.

This is what I call “my hour of power from his His tower.”  The act of this one hour (plus) has the most effect on all the other hours or the following 24 hours.  Let’s do the math real quickly.  Here is a word God gave me recently: “If you sometimes think your time is too urgent/important to really hang out with me an hour or more in private intimacy each day; if you have trouble fitting me in to your schedule – let me inform you of something: this time with me is often Preventative…meaning that for each hour you spend in my Presence, you often prevent certain wasteful attitudes, influences, distracting thoughts, moods, and problems that were otherwise headed your way today…distraction which would have used up much more than the hour you would have spent with Me.”

Better is one day, or one hour even, in His courts, than a thousand hours anywhere else.  This is one business/personal appointment we can not afford to keep missing.  I think you would agree with me, that we would not blow off a meeting with the President of the USA, or a real king, or the actual King of Kings. Write it into your day planner today, like you would your other planned meetings/appointments.  Block it off.  Oh – I need this time so badly.  It is so crucial to everything else. I must do whatever it takes to keep my appointment with Daddy God, even though there are 100 other needs screaming out at me right now to be attended to…with urgency and guilt. No!  I insist on that one pure hour in His courts today!!

The Fast that I Desire

Letter #54     Pastor Dan Gore      www.destinyshouse.com        9/24/10

“THIS IS THE FAST THAT I DESIRE” = THIS IS THE HUNGER I AM LOOKING FOR BUT CAN’T FIND IN MY PEOPLE.  (Isaiah 58:6)

I think I can share something very personal with you without being perceived in the wrong way.  Hopefully I can. Today I am at the end of a mega-fast.  Though I have fasted often to this point, it has never been longer than about 36 hours.  This has been the first time I have fasted over a week, and with God’s help, feel like I could continue on much longer.  Why?  It has been out of desperation.  Between the financial trials/economy; health issues/attacks on our family, need for breakthrough in our church family, issues in our America; etc…I have to cry:  I NEED YOUR HELP JESUS!!

God gave me this: fasting is putting the Flesh Aside in order to activate some level of Spiritual Transition.FAST = Flesh Aside/ Spiritual Transition. We stop eating food in order that we may more fully eat a different food.

So, I am hungry for more.  I sense that many of you are too. So often we slip back into playing church and going through the motions of a repeat of what has already been.  Why do we do that?  Why are we always waiting on someone else to feed us and do it for us?  I am starving for what they had at Azusa Street with Seymour, in Wales with Evan Roberts, or Houston with Tommy Tenney.  There is so much more of God to yet be experienced that we almost look stupid still camping out where we have – this is not the place we are supposed to stay, folks!  If you have stopped experiencing His fire lately, is it possible that the fire and the cloud have started to move further out into His realm, and it is up to us to move with it in order to stay in His presence and not be left behind?  The dessert terrain is meant to activate us for more hunger.  Jesus has a huge smile on His face, and He is looking right at you and motioning with His hand to “Come here, I have some more things I want to show you! Pick up your temporary tabernacle and get a move on!”

This level of hunger we don’t yet have – is the vehicle for us to transition spiritually.  It is a deep longing to put aside the flesh and to then groan, wrestle, moan, ache, strive, go without, press in over and over for hours, days, weeks & months if we have to, in order to transition into the next place He has for us to tabernacle. God still is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. If we hunger and thirst for righteousness we’ll be filled!  Faith wake up!  Feel starvation! Dissatisfaction increase!  Tears flow! Glory rise!
